This was my first time seeing UFO although I had seen Pete Way in the guise of Waysted in previous years. From memory the tour was a big reunion one with Schenker back in the ranks in what was often deemed as the classic line-up, although the drum seat was occupied by Simon Wright, supporting their recent Walk On Water album. Support band was Dirty Deeds who had some kind of Iron Maiden link I believe and were pretty standard heavy metal fare.
UFO’s set encompassed all the classic titles with a handful from the recent album and was a great show. I have seen them a further two times in 2010 at Edinburgh and on the Last Orders tour of 2019 as well as Schenker doing his Temple Of Rock group.
